Cod 6 Russian Multiplayer Fix

For those of you who purchased the wonderful cod 6 and found out it was or deliberately bought a russian version, and now cannot play in english, heres a fix i created, any problems leave a note

heres how i fixed mine, it needs to be redone every few days (after the game no longer starts), and i can only seem to play multiplayer, but its an easy fix

1. download an english version, or borrow a disc of friend and install to seperate location ( if you can borrow a steam account its the easiest

2. turn auto update off on cod single player, and if it ever starts updating, (you'll know because suddenly you cod only boots up to a black screen, pressing esc exits out to windows) then redo step 3 and 4

3. (if you downloaded of a friends english cod 6 steam account, skip this)
go into where you downloaded cod 6 to (not the russian one), theres three things that need to be copied
a) \Modern Warfare 2\localization.txt
b) \Modern Warfare 2\zone\english
c) \Modern Warfare 2\main (copy all the files right down the bottom labeled "localized_enlish" there should be around 7
Copy all these to the respective places in your steam cod 6 folder

4. (this is the method i used, there are other ways, but im lazy and it worked) RENAME the "steam\steamapps\common\call of duty modern warfare 2\zone\english" folder that you have just copied across, to russian, instead of english

This is all i did, and it worked a beauty, a steam client update has since reduced games to only run in their native languages and not show any extras, as you may notice if you try to change the language of cod 6 singleplayer, so this tricks cod into thinking that the english files are actually russian

If you want to play singleplayer, there may be a fix for that, though i found it easiest to play the downloaded version you acquired, since you own it legally anyway, and save the steam one for multiplayer only :)
